Jacqueline + Giorgio, when England meets Italy

Posted by Giusy D'Ambrosio on Friday, February 20, 2015 Under: real wedding
Last May this exquisite couple got married in Martina Franca on the day of my 19th anniversary and I really enjoyed the day!
Two different worlds met here Jacqueline's England and Giorgio's Italy, two families merged into a new one.

The temperature was perfect but a rain shower right before the ceremony made us move to the plan B. The original location was the amphitheatre in the gardens of the reception venue, we moved to the adjacent portico.

A violinist accompanied the ceremony that was celebrated in both languages.
The rich Italian antipasto buffet was set under another portico located where the stables of this historic mansion house used to be.

We later moved to the dining hall, where dinner was served while a fantastic pianist and a violinist were playing the best of classic music.

As usual, one of the best moments was "speeches time"! The Italians are not used to make speeches during weddings but I can tell you, they enjoied them a lot! I was there to translate for them, of course :)

Viva gli sposi! Hooray for the newlyweds!
